The final death, and being forgotten in particular, seems to be something that souls seem to fear a lot in the Land of the Dead. But what’s fascinating about this is, there is one subtle detail in the movie that actually shows that all souls in the Land of The Dead have to experience the final death at some point, regardless of how long their picture is continuously placed on the alter. And that might not be such a bad thing, in fact, some theorize that it might be the best thing for them.
