How the parking permit is evolving from a paper pass to a digital passport

Permits allow local authorities, parking operators and facilities managers to designate which people and vehicles can enter a destination, workplace, town centre or neighbourhood.

In addition to residential, business, contract and staff parking, permit systems are being used to encourage drivers to adopt zero emission vehicles, to protect spaces meant for disabled Blue Badge holders and prioritise the needs of key workers such as doctors and nurses, as well as facilitating access for delivery vehicles.

As traffic and parking policy evolves, permit schemes need to become more sophisticated. Traditional paper-based systems are being replaced by digital permits which streamline the administration of parking schemes. When linked to ANPR technology, virtual permits offer an efficient way to manage access and enforce rules.

This free webinar will explore at the latest approaches to designing, managing and enforcing permit schemes. It will comprise a series of presentations by leading parking providers and technology providers, who will then address questions raised by the audience.
