The best time to measure our blood pressure is 30 minutes after waking up in the morning, no breakfast yet, no taking of medicines ,,and empty your bladder before having to measure blood pressure! Take it 3 readings consecutive 3 minutes after each reading ,, and the best and accurate is the 2nd or the third reading,,,the first one usually not accurate!
The second best time to measure blood pressure is late at evening before going to sleep, because your day winding down and body is more relaxed! Take always 3 readings like you did in the morning! No active activity
30 minutes prior to measure your blood pressure! You can have a higher reading at night than in the morning because of what medications you took and what foods you ate, like processed foods and salt in your foods!
So morning really is the best time to have measure blood pressure.
The middle of the afternoon is the worst time to take blood pressure, because of highest activity of the day,
And the time you most experienced the most stress, because stress increase blood pressure! Another bad time is cold weather when your body is cold, or in cold places, because cold narrows our blood vessels! And blood pressure starts to rise, and avoid stress, and anxiety because you will have abnormal blood pressure!
Tips on taking your blood pressure!
1. Avoid salt, don’t drink having caffeine and don’t drink alcohol ,and don’t smoke 30 minutes before having measure of blood pressure!
2.sit quietly don’t talk, sit with your back supported by the back of chair and feet flat on the floor!
3. support your arm where the elbow is at the level of your heart!
4. No sleeves, wrapped the cuff over bare skin!
5.Don’t talk while taking the measurements of blood pressure!
Eat foods with POTASSIUM, BECAUSE IT LOWERS BLOOD PRESSURE, and flash out too much sodium in your
body,because sodium or salt makes high blood pressure! Eat these foods in your diet!
A. Bananas,avocados,potatoes, cantaloupes, kiwis,
B.fish like salmon,, tuna and mackerels
C.Dairy like yogurt and fat free milk
D.leafy greens vegetables like kale, arugula, collard green, lettuce, talbos ng kamote, pechay, alukbati,malunggay!
E.unsalted seeds like cashews,sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds,
F. Beans like kidney beans, pinto beans,lentils, mung beans or munggo,
ALWAYS EAT MODERATELY BECAUSE ANYTHING TOO MUCH IS BAD,
