France: Scuffles erupt between Yellow Vests and police at anti-COVID-19 pass demo in Paris

'Yellow Vest' protesters were seen scuffling with local police on Saturday in Paris, as the weekly demonstrations against the implementation of a national COVID-19 passport continued.

Protesters were seen arguing and engaging in physical scuffles with police, who pushed them back with riot shields and sprayed pepper spray.

Last July, France implemented a health pass giving special privileges to vaccinated citizens to encourage vaccination against COVID-19 and to help stop the virus from spreading. The 'Yellow Vest' movement has organised several protests against the government’s COVID-19 regulations over the last few months.
