Covered Head To Toe In Painful Sore & Lumps, Looking For Help, Bane Was Beginning To Feel Unseeable

Covered in unsightly sores and lumps, Bane was never helped while running down the streets of Houston, Texas. Feeling snubbed by the harsh rejection he was often met with, it became harder and harder for him to persevere. With no one in his corner, his only choice was to fend for himself, hunting for food and searching for a safe haven to lay his painful, sore encrusted body.

It was not until rescuers at Caitie’s Foster Fam Rescue spotted the poor boy on the streets that anyone offered any help to him at all. The rescuers there were horrified that this sweet, sickly pup was left practically to die with no help at all. They quickly rushed him to the vet, where the doctors seemed rather stumped by the loving boy's condition. Over the course of weeks, the doctors have run multiple tests, taken samples, and even performed a biopsy on one of the lumps attempting to get to the bottom of Bane’s condition, but they don’t have the problem fully nailed down. The rescuers took the precious pup to a second doctor, where again many tests were run but nothing concrete yet, as certain tests have yet to come back. The second doctor took an x-ray that revealed that even if this is cancerous, it has not spread to his lungs, meaning that his chances of survival are greater than expected. His blood panels came back to show that he is rather weak in every area, but not so sick he cannot stay with his beloved foster or is in dire need of emergency care. The vet expressed their best guess, as they do not have all tests back just yet, that it could be melanoma, but again, it’s only a mere guess. The heartbreaking part for everyone is how kind and filled with life this charismatic pup truly is. Although, rescuers are prepared to fight for him, no matter the costs.

Currently, rescuers are still waiting to receive the full results of all of Bane’s tests. In the meantime, his happily living with his foster. The foster has reported that he loves to play and run around in the yard and that he also snuggles up in his crate when he is tired all on his own. Despite his sores and lumps, he seems to be an extremely gleeful dog and without the skin issues, you’d never know he was sick at all.
